What are the options?

Single or 3 phase

A charging station can be connected via single-phase or 3-phase. A 3-phase connection allows for a higher charging capacity.

Wall/pole mounting

A charging station can be mounted either against the wall or on a pole. It is important to take into account the distance to the parking space, so that you can minimise the length of charging cable required.

Charge card

If you are already driving an electric car you may already have a “charge pass” to recharge at public charging stations. Depending on the brand of the charging station, you could also use the same card at home to activate your charging station. You can start a charging session by simply holding the pass in front of the charging station.

Fixed or separate cable

Some charging stations have a fixed cable, while other charging stations require a separate cable. It is worth noting that the cable cannot be detached from charging stations with a fixed connection. You’ll need a separate cable to charge in other places.

Single or double charger

Chargers are available with single or double connectors. We recommend going with a double charger where possible as this mitigates against additional installation costs, should you decide to increase the number of electric vehicles at your household.

Offline poles vs. online charging stations

The charging stations that work offline are only connected to the car. Once the plug is connected, the charging station starts to charge and it stops as soon as the plug is disconnected. The online station gives you the possibility to remotely control it, automatically calculate power costs and see the charging history.
